- The National Science Foundation and the Department of Defense award funds to Inlustra for Gallium Nitride substrate development
2009
- Inlustra becomes a California c-corporation doing business as Inlustra Technologies, Inc.
- Inlustra closes a Series B financing round to enable production scale-up
2008
- Inlustra produces the largest wafers of nonpolar Gallium Nitride reported to date
- The Department of Defense awards funds to Inlustra to further develop nonpolar bulk Gallium Nitride
- Inlustra starts delivering nonpolar Gallium Nitride substrate samples to first academic and commercial customers
2007
- After finishing facilities enhancements and completing the construction of the growth system, production of bulk Gallium Nitride starts at Inlustra’s facilities
- The Department of Energy awards Inlustra a three-year contract through its Solid State Lighting program to develop high efficiency nonpolar GaN-based LEDs
2006
- Inlustra raises a Series A financing round and starts building out facilities and a first growth system
- Funds are augmented by government grants from the National Science Foundation and the Department of Defense
2005
- Inlustra’s founders win the New Venture Competition at the University of California at Santa Barbara hosted by the University's Technology Management Program
- Inlustra Technologies is incorporated as a California Limited Liability Company
